What car is on your mind? OK, maybe it's a truck. Either way, what's the most Georgia way to get around?

Why do I ask, you say? Because I'm tired of hearing that the best-selling vehicle for nearly every state is the Ford F-Series. I'm more interested in what the best vehicle for the state should be.

Also, if you think the most Georgia vehicle happens to be the F-Series, then by all means put it down.

And as always...

Choose wisely!

I'm one of them, and I have to say that this is an unfair question. Atlanta is the polar opposite of the rest of Georgia. The metro area is diverse and progressive, but if you head too far south, east, or west, you end up in a textbook representation of Deep South stereotypes.

In the end, though, it's only fair to choose a Panoz. Awesome sports car for those of us in the better half of the state, and close-to-home for the rest.

Well, it's in da Sowth so it has to be a pickup.

But Georgia is, to my mind, a more, shall we say, civilized part of the South, and so, the Ford F150 Lariat:

I live northeast of Atlanta and the perfect cars for us are our Evo and Mini. They are practical performance cars that are hoonable when the call of the GA mountains beckons. They also baby/kid. We aren't native Georgians though, so our views may be skewed.

As for locally produced cars I go I for the early Panoz attempts like Old Sparky.

Depends on what I feel like today (I live northwest of Atlanta).

Cultured redneck? My 1995 F150 Eddie Bauer (Yes, they exist). Oversized tires and not lifted because I don't want to need a ladder every time I want to get in the truck.

Commute Dude? Mini. Also fun enough to go to the mountains.

Go to the mountains? Z4.

Lots and lots of Toyotas and Lexus in the ATL. Plenty of C-Class too.

What’s the perfect car? Anything that handles well. I moved from Atlanta to Colorado 3 yrs ago. What I miss the most is all the curves and hills. in CO if you're not going over the Rockies every town is flat and layed out using the grid system. Makes for the most boring driving ever.
